Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Now that New York City is reopening, the Atalaya Leasing team is back in the office and ready to welcome you for a visit. If you are unable make it to NYC over the summer, we hope to reconnect at the ELFA Convention in San Antonio this October.
As always, if you or your clients have transactions that require an immediate or alternative investor, we are ready with substantial capital and flexible, transparent structuring alternatives. We provide details below on select recent transactions and links to our investment parameters and inquiry form. |
Meet the Team:
We are excited to introduce you to our newest colleague, Steve Scheuble. Steve recently joined the Atalaya Leasing sales team and brings extensive equipment leasing, corporate lending, and banking experience. Prior to joining Atalaya, he spent nearly 10 years with PNC Financial Services Group where he was responsible for originating, structuring, and executing equipment finance transactions for corporate clients. Steve lives in Pittsburgh, PA with his wife, Jess, 6-month-old son, Royce, and dog, Scooby. We asked Steve some questions to get to know him better:
Hometown: Pittsburgh, PA
Alma Mater: University of Dayton
How did you get into the equipment leasing business? I joined PNC’s Equipment Finance Group straight out of college. I had a chance to meet several groups within their Corporate and Institutional Banking division during the interview process, and I was most intrigued by the idea of financing tangible assets (planes, trains, vessels, IT equipment, renewable energy projects, etc.) with unique structures. I was ultimately matched with the Equipment Finance Group as part of PNC’s analyst program and that experience truly launched my career.
What are you most looking forward to about joining Atalaya Leasing? After enjoying my time in banking, I’m excited to work on challenging deals in a different segment of the market with a terrific team. Atalaya’s broader investment mandate allows flexibility and creativity in the approach, and our structure enables us to move quickly when necessary.
Favorite cities you have traveled to? Chicago (for business and visiting my brother) and Budapest, Tokyo, or anywhere in Spain for personal travel.
What are your must have snacks and entertainment for business travel? I try to drink lots of water when I’m traveling (sometimes coffee), and my go-to snacks are a protein bar, peanuts, and almonds. I also like to read non-fiction (just finished Phil Knight and Richard Branson’s biographies) and listen to business/investing podcasts. |
